Sauna Therapy

How does sauna therapy work?

The basic idea of sauna therapy is to heat your internal body temperature several degrees. Within the first ten minutes of your session, you may induce a light sweat as your body temperature remains around 98.6 degrees. The extra heat your body is enduring is increasing circulation, pushing blood to the skin’s surface, and causing sweating. In the second half of your session your body temperature will rise, resulting in an increase in your heart rate and sweating. Below are the benefits you can experience after sauna therapy. Multiple sessions are encouraged for consistent benefits.

Additionally, sauna therapy is a self-care tool. During your session, you will have the option to listen to music, listen to guided meditation, read a book for pleasure, or simply sit in silence. This is your time to relax mentally and physically. Your sauna experience is more than just the appointment – your time before and after is just as important! You are welcome to enjoy a 10-minute relaxation experience after your appointment at no additional cost. Your sessions include music/sound of your choice, a personal fruit charcuterie plate, cucumber water, and hot tea.
